This was made up from a buffalo horn. She says that medicinal properties last longer when stored in a buffalo horn, which is very hard. Before allopathic medical tradition dominates, traditional healers accustomed to visit home to home treating patients as a custom. Buffalo horn container was a common tool at that time.
