Community Conservation Resilience Initiative assessment in Chile
CCRI is a global project documenting the resilience of community conservation initiatives. Its initial findings indicate that protecting biodiversity and ecosystems could be significantly enhanced by bolstering the traditional knowledge and practices of the people that rely on those places the most: indigenous peoples and local communities. You can find all the reports and case studies here: http://globalforestcoalition.org/resources/supporting-community-conservation/

The CCRI project has been made possible thanks to the support of the Christensen Fund and the German International Climate Initiative (IKI). The German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation, Building and Nuclear Safety (BMUB) supports this initiative on the basis of a decision adopted by the German Bundestag.
The participatory community assessments presented through the photos and other materials have been made possible thanks to the support of the community members themselves, the facilitating groups, The Christensen Fund, Siemenpuu Foundation, the Stockholm Resilience Centre and Natural Justice.
